Flatford Lodge

Our bungalow in a truly idyllic location with the most amazing view over the Dedham Vale.
Newly refurbished it oozes character with 2 cozy fires, luxe ensuite, Fired Earth shower room all on the same level as it is a bungalow. The west facing covered verandah is wonderful to sit and watch the sun go down over the vale - maybe light a little barbecue and sit by the fire in the crisp chilly evenings. There is a painters studio at the back of the property & unlimited free WiFi for guests. The 3 beds will be made and towels will be supplied for 4 guests. More guests could be put up on inflatable mattresses if you'd like to bring them for the attic/loft space - please enquire about a small additional charge.

The home has 3 bedrooms plus a loft space which could be used for 2 more people or perhaps children hunkering down, with supervision. The kitchen has a new large American style fridge freezer, induction hob, 2 ovens, dishwasher, microwave & kettle.
It is a perfect get away, with a pub 5 minutes walk away and close to Colchester, Ipswich and Lavenham.

There is a wealth of great restaurants within a short cab drive away including Le Talbooth with just about the most extensive wine list in East Anglia ! There is a great little village shop (Co-op) in the village, a chemist and several pubs. Just 10 minutes away is Manningtree with more shops, a local market, Sadlers, an amazing traditional shoe mender, fish and chip shop and all the essentials. Manningtree is also on a mainline train station into London Liverpool Street, which is just an hour away, and Harwich is about one hour from Flatford Lodge.

Garden Caravan Site

A small family run site, recently built, in a walled garden which is sheltered by a belt of large beech trees. We only have 30 pitches which cover the site in four different areas. We don't have a shop but are close to Docking, where there is all one needs. There are also lovely dog walks around the woods outside the site.
The small office is not always attended, so guests are asked to pitch where they like and we will be around later.
